There's not much easier and tastier than Modenese style pork chops! They really are simple to make, require little time, smell divine while cooking, and taste delicious! Italian food rocks! I served this with scalloped potatoes, corn on the cob, sauteed peppers and squash, and baked Parmesan tomatoes. Complete happiness. I know it requires butter, but once in a while butter is worth it... and this is one of the times!
INGREDIENTS:
4
Tablespoons unsalted butter
4
(1 inch thick) pork chops
½
cup dry white wine
½
teaspoon salt
¼
teaspoon ground black pepper
1
teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
2
cloves garlic, minced
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sprinkle pork chops with salt, pepper, rosemary, and garlic. Cook pork chops in butter, turning once to brown evenly.
- Pour in wine and simmer, uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes, until chops are tender.
- Transfer pork chops to serving plate and spoon sauce over the meat.
