Easy Semi-Homemade Pizza

It's fun to make your own pizza!  Mama Mary's pre-baked crusts are excellent and are available in several sizes and options: large original crust, large thin and crispy crust, large stone fired brick oven style, large flatbread crust, as well as personal pan sized crusts in a 3-pack of original and thin and crispy.  Also offered are gluten free personal pan and large crusts.  We made the personal pan pizzas most recently and everyone made their own with desired toppings.  You can make it with meats or make it vegetarian.  You can cut it into small slices and serve as an appetizer or into large slices and serve as an entree.

This easy pizza sauce is easy and yummy and is quite enough for either a large pizza or 3 or more personal pan pizzas.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pizza crust (pre-baked, such as Mama Mary's)
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
1 (15 ounce) can of tomato sauce
1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
1 1/2 to 2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese
Pizza toppings of your choice

DIRECTIONS:
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.  Lightly brush olive oil over pizza crust to cover completely.
  • To make pizza sauce, stir tomato paste and tomato sauce until smooth. Stir in Italian seasoning and garlic powder until well blended.
  • Spread sauce onto pizza crust, to cover entirely; you may not need to use the entire amount. Sprinkle cheese on top, so that it covers the pizza and add favorite toppings.   I like to add pepperoni, green and red peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  • Enjoy with a tossed green salad!
